Screen Vinyl Image

Screen Vinyl Image are J. Sequential and Electra Blue. Their debut EP, The Midnight Sun, was released April 3rd on the small DC label Safranin Sound & Design, which was created by members of Alcian Blue.

Screen Vinyl Image is a mash of electronic, shoegaze, and dream pop. The first track, “Roaming Spirit Freedom”, sounds like a mix of Joy Division and New Order. Low, baritone vocals resonate throughout the song. The second track, “The Midnight Sun”, switches it up to spacey female vocals not too far from Lush with an electronic beat.

I think Screen Vinyl Image is pretty good and think some of you will really like it. Electronica usually isn’t my thing but for those of you who dig it, you’ll probably really like this.
